News of some recent meetings:

Our meeting on  November 11th when Tana Riviere led a meditation on rememberance day was indeed memorable. Eight of us were present. Tana built up the meditation slowly both with poems and recorded music and with a gradually assembled tableau lit by candles, and finished with poppies. We all joined in or just observed just as we wanted to. This was all followed by chat and tea and biscuits as we moved from the solemnity of what we were remembering with gratitude, and into the life for which people died. See the picture below.

The following meeting was on December 9th . We brought a little festive food, and Christmas readings and Christmas music was played. We sang  carols and said a few prayers.  We were very aware of the plight of Lesbian, Gay and transgender people in  Uganda, and planned to write expressing our concern to the Archbishop of Canterbury. Below is a picture from our party ( all pictures appear with the express permission of the people in them).

Food to enjoy!

Food to enjoy!

We met on January 13th  when Revd Norman Boakes gave an interesting and informative talk about his his role in the Diocese as Continuing Ministerial Development Office.  We were small in number (6) but the quality was high.  Two people braved the traffic and came from Salisbury. Worth it though for a good talk, and then chat over a beverage. If you want to know why we were small in number look at the picture of the venue below!
