Anglicans Support Canada and
America
In view of the decision of
Anglican Primates (Newry, Northern Ireland, February 2005) to ask two Anglican
Churches to consider withdrawing from the Anglican Consultative Council (ACC)
for – at least – three years LGCM is calling on all our friends in the Anglican
Communion to express support for the Anglican Churches of the United Sates of
America and Canada.
LGCM does not believe that
either of these Churches should be made to feel unwelcome in any way whatsoever
in any part in the Anglican Communion. Their attitude towards lesbian and gay
people should be commended rather than condemned.
We the undersigned:
-
consider ourselves to be in full
communion with the Anglican Church of Canada; the Episcopal Church of the
United States of America, including the Diocese of New Hampshire and its
Bishop, Gene Robinson
-
regret the actions of those
other member churches of the Anglican Communion which have resulted in attempts
to isolate the Anglican Church of Canada and the Episcopal Church of the United
States of America within the Communion
Please also consider
-
collecting more individual signatures.
Send this to a friend!
-
presenting the text to your next
available Parochial Church Council meeting (or equivalent in your own country)
in the form "This PCC considers itself to be ... and regrets the actions..."
